47 YEARS MINISTER IN FIFE
The Rev. William Forbes, a native of Aberdeen, who was minister of Cairneyhill Church, Fife, for over forty-seven years, has died at the age of seventy-nine.
Mr Forbes was a son of the late Mr and Mrs Wm Forbes, 239 Westburn Road, where his brother, Mr Charles Forbes, now resides.

He got his early education at the Old Aberdeen Grammar School, and was trained for the ministry at the Divinity Hall, Edinburgh. Cairneyhill was his only charge.
He was joint clerk of the Presbytery of Dunfermline and Kinross and served for a time on Fife Education Authority. His wife died three years ago and he is survived by three sons.
