There are a few men here that I don’t have details for yet – please get in touch if you can provide any information.
I am related to William Hamilton, his mother was my Gran’s sister . I have discovered the plot William lies in . ( C. 8. 12. ) Benghazi War Cemetery Libya. I noticed on a list of names for the locals who died, he was listed as M. Hamilton. Was this before stone was cleaned up ? Thank you for your help.

Hi Janet. Thanks for getting in touch. I believe the village war memorial was renovated slightly a few years ago so perhaps the names were not so clear before then. I’m glad you’ve discovered William Hamilton’s place of burial. Best wishes. Jacqueline Hunter.

Thank you Jacqueline for responding quickly . Not much chance of visiting which is a pity . And there has been a lot of vandalism in the Cemetery.. William died 2years before i was born , but remember my Aunt Maggie was never the same afterwards. Best wishes.
